Open Cell Foam
Open Cell Spray Foam expands to 100 times its original volume. It typically enjoys an approximately 20% cost savings when compared to Closed Cell Spray Foam. Open cell spray foam cures in minutes and has the consistency of a very fine sponge, is an excellent air barrier and adheres to almost any substrate. Because of its open cell structure , it is not recommended for high vapor / moisture or below grade applications. For example we do not recommend this material in crawl spaces, basements, rooflines, steam rooms, bonds/sill plates or ceilings. Home or building owners insulating with open cell foam can expect a 40-50% savings on utility bills and a 4-5 year return on investment.
